LuAnne enrolled in her first art class in 2006 at Centralia College in Centralia, Washington. She enjoyed various mediums, but it was working in stained glass where LuAnne found her “first love” creating a leaded-glass Victorian style window panel. Over the years she studied sanding and fuse glass and received many awards at local and state competitions, including the Reserved Grand Champion award in 2013 and Superintendent Award in 2014.
Expanding her artistic expression into mixed media in 2013, LuAnne began working in oil painting and acrylic paint and pours. She currently produces unique abstracts in both acrylic and resin.
LuAnne has donated her art to help raise funds for Rescue Animals, Relay for Life, and private auctions. She has worked several commissions from repairing church windows and designing custom stained-glass doors, to refurbishing table tops and counters with mosaic designs and resin pours.
